Andrew Engelmann, owner of Sports Car Collection, discovered his passion for cars at age eight during a trip to Germany with his father, Wolfgang. They went on the autobahn together in a Porsche and watched cars drive around the Nürburgring.  Because of this, Engelmann's love for speed began, leading him into a journey in motorsport and a passion for sports cars.
Andrew Engelmann has participated in over 100 races, achieving significant milestones throughout his career. He has secured over 40 podium finishes and clinched five wins in 2022 alone. Most notably, Engelmann won a class championship in the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS) in 2022, competing in the SP3T class with a Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.
Engelmann's experience includes participation in the Nürburgring 24-hour race three times, earning podium finishes in 2020 and 2022. His versatility as a driver is further demonstrated by his involvement in various racing series and vehicles. In addition to his success with the Volkswagen TCR, he has competed in the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup for Max Kruse Racing in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN), where he secured a 2nd place finish.Â
His diverse racing portfolio extends beyond the Nürburgring and road racing, encompassing other racing series and types of racing. He has participated in off road Baja racing, motorcycle racing, and dirt bike racing as a child.
In 2023, Andrew Engelmann embarked on a new chapter of his journey by realizing a lifelong dream - the opening of Sports Car Collection. This venture, born out of his deep-rooted passion for high-performance vehicles, honors his father's legacy while showcasing Engelmann's dedication to the finest driving machines. Drawing from his racing experiences, Sports Car Collection promises enthusiasts a curated selection of high-performance vehicles inspired by Engelmann's illustrious career on the track.
Petko Petkov, is the co-owner of Sports Car Collection in Denver, Colorado. From his childhood, Petko's destiny was intertwined with engines and the allure of speed. Raised in the company of a hill climb racer uncle, Petko was brought up in the exhilarating world of motorsports. It was amidst these spirited drives that Petko's love affair with cars was born, igniting it all.
A natural behind the wheel, Petko's journey as a driver began long before most teenagers could even fathom the complexities of a manual transmission. At the age of 13, he took his first steps into the world of driving, honing his skills further mastering the art of drifting, and conquering the winding canyons with a finesse that belied his age.
With a keen eye for detail and an insatiable curiosity, Petko has immersed himself in the nuances of automotive craftsmanship, exploring every facet of car culture with a spirt unmatched by many.
